Meet Maureen tazzioli
Welcome to my HOWse, a place I like to call home. A place where children learn how to strengthen their critical thinking and problem solving skills, and parents learn how to navigate educational situations whether from school or at home.
As a person who loves to teach, I hold a Bachelor of Education - Secondary Education Degree - Health Education (major) Inclusive Education (minor), along with a permanent Professional "A” Certificate from the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (SPTRB).
I have years of experience working in diverse and complex learning environments, using multiple levels of intervention to support children in various classroom settings and special education rooms.
My passion for working with neurodivergent students, and their families began when I was a teenager volunteering in a local hospital and community support centers. During these experiences, I observed various professionals working together to support all children in their care.
Today, I believe that parents are a child’s first teacher, and that by working together to support their child’s education, the foundational subjects of reading, writing, spelling and math, become like stepping stones used to build a better future.
Through innovative teaching methodologies, I nurture life skill development in areas of emotional regulation and behavior responses, socialization, and problem solving skills. Gently guiding children towards the attributes of responsibility, accountability, and resiliency, they may become better equipped to navigate an uncertain future.
Today, as a parent of grown adults, and a teacher, I hold two different perspectives close to my heart: A parent’s love for their children, and a teacher’s heart towards their students.
My hope is to build an educational bridge so strong that the parents who love their children, and the teachers who support their students, can come together to share a common purpose - to prepare a child’s future, with love.
But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. - Joshua 24:15 (ESV)
